We Are Sensitive Skin Friendly

We formulated with our network of dermatologists to create something that even the most sensitive of skin types could use.

  • Cream vs Serum

While they’re the rage, retinol-based serums might not work for sensitive or dry skin types as they lack a hydrating factor to balance the inherently drying property of retinol & other key actives. So we created a moisturiser-based formula that could deliver potent actives in a hydrating format.

  • Safer Delivery

A product could contain a lot of good stuff, but if the bioavailability (or absorption) is low, it won’t have any impact on the skin. We’ve used nanotechnology & encapsulation to increase the absorption of the ingredients, but in a safe form such that they don’t irritate.

  • Calming Elements

God bless the inventors of peptides & hyaluronic acid! Our collagen peptides & hyaluronic acid help calm the skin & further prevent any irritation that the actives could potentially cause.

  • Nothing More, Nothing Less

Overnight Repair is a beginner-friendly retinol product that has multi-actives in the % that have been proven to show results. We haven’t gone overboard with high potencies & have balanced everything to perfection over a long period of 24 months & across countless testing samples!

  • Fragrance & Allergen-Free

We’ll let you in on an industry secret- most products that claim to be “fragrance-free” add masking agents that can trigger breakouts. When you look for fragrance-free, also search for allergen-free so that you know the product is meant for sensitive skin - LIKE US!

Overnight Repair’s Research-Backed Science

Encapsulated Retinol

The safest, most effective form of Retinol

In a 2006 study* published by John Hopkins University,it was found that topical retinol significantly improves fine lines & wrinkles associated with natural ageing.

*24-week long randomized, double-blind, vehicle-controlled, left & right arm comparison study

Similar results were corroborated by a retinol study** published in the Journal of Drugs & Dermatology in 2009, where it was found that 0.1% topical retinol reduced fine lines by 44% & pigmentation by 84%.

**1-year old double-blind, vehicle-controlled trial conducted by researches from Johnson & Johnson, KGL Skin Study Cener

However, while retinol is among skincare’s most popular ingredients, its well-known instability poses certain problems to product developers & brings many challenges to skincare formulations.

Encapsulating retinol changes the game! Retinol particles are encased in a covering that allows the molecules to safely enter the skin, without causing irritation & ensuring that retinol retains its efficacy.

As per a study conducted by Tagra Biotechnologies, an Isreal-based leader in microencapsulation technology, it was found that encapsulated retinol results in a 9% reduction in skin roughness & the encapsulation process preserves the dermatological activity of retinol as an anti-aging/ wrinkle agent at 98% as opposed to free retinol used by most other products.

NanoWhite™

Triple activity for skin brightening

NanoWhite is a patented liposomal preparation combining brightening ingredients & antioxidants like Glutathione, Vitamin C, Arbutin, Linolenic Acid & Linoleic Acid. Switzerland-based leading research organisation, Mibelle Biochemistry patented this formulation & published their study* findings in 2022

*In-vitro test conducted in a lab to assess the safety, efficacy & effects of skincare formulations

Skin color largely depends on a pigment called melanin. The uneven distribution of melanin, often due to factors like hormonal changes or skin damage or acne or sun exposure, can lead to dark spots, discolouration or marks. Results from an in-vitro study showed that 0.4 % NanoWhite inhibits melanin formation by 74 %, thus giving the skin an even tone & radiant complexion.

Kojic Acid Dipalmitate

The dermat’s choice for reducing marks & dark spots

Tyrosinase is a key enzyme that is responsible for melanogenesis in melanoma & melanocytes. The inhibition of tyrosinase will greatly affect the melanogenesis process & melanin production in the skin, thus reducing the appearance of marks, dark spots, discolouration, uneven skin tone & dullness.

Kojic acid dipalmitate is a safe skin brightening agent used to treat hyperpigmentation, as per a study* published in the National Library of Medicine in 2012, on the depigmenting effect of kojic acid & kojic acid esters.

*In-vitro test conducted in a lab to assess the safety, efficacy & effects of skincare formulations

As per a popular study on the cosmetic applications of kojic acid dipalmitate that was published in MDPI in 2024, it was found that kojic acid dipalmitate at 2%. potency is both efficacious & safe for treating melasma. It did not induce skin irritation & contributed to skin brightening, as evidenced by a reduction in hyperpigmentation observed in 51-57% of the subjects.

Collagen Peptides (Tripeptide)

The dark horse in anti-ageing therapy

Collagen is one of the most widely distributed & abundant proteins in mammals, making up almost 80% of our skin. As we age, our skin’s natural collagen-producing ability keeps dipping & we lose ~1% of collagen every year after we turn 21. The skin thus becomes dry, lacking elasticity, leading to wrinkles & fine lines. Topically applying collagen tripeptides can help regenerate skin stromal cells, reduce skin pigmentation, & thus, give the skin a smoother & firmer look.

A study published in the National Library of Medicine in 2022, on the effect of topical collagen tripeptide on antiaging, it was found that collagen tripeptides significantly reduced skin wrinkles & improved elasticity & density in Asian women over 4 weeks.
